About Us

The Diamond State Classic is a high school girls' varsity basketball tournament held annually from December 27 through December 30. A non-profit organization, the Diamond State Classic Foundation is dedicated to raising scholarship money to award to qualifying and deserving graduating senior high school female athletes in the state of Delaware, Special Olympics Delaware and other Delaware charities. Over the past 17 years of operation, we have awarded over $700,000 in scholarships and grants.

Operated and run completely by IAABO Board #11 both active and retired members and non-members who volunteer their time and services, the corporate sponsors have generously supported our efforts to provide a quality experience for all teams participating in the Diamond State Classic.
